Privacy Policy

This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before SHAKKY's public launch.

This policy explains what data SHAKKY collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers Shakky Bot, Shakky Arcade and this website (shakky.gg). Shakky World is not yet available and is not covered here.

SHAKKY is operated by a small independent team. Publisher and contact details will be completed on the Legal page before public launch.

Data we collect

Shakky Bot, when added to a Discord server, may process:

  • Discord identifiers (user, server and channel IDs) needed to run enabled features
  • Activity signals used for progression (for example message counts or voice time), stored as aggregates where possible
  • Per-server configuration you set (enabled modules, role rewards, welcome messages)
  • Moderation logs generated by actions your moderators take

Shakky Arcade processes:

  • A display name and avatar you provide or that come from Discord when you launch the Activity
  • Temporary game-session data (room codes, scores, drawings, prompts) needed to run a match
  • Basic technical data (browser type, approximate region from IP, error logs) to keep the service working

This website collects only what is needed to serve pages and remember your theme and language preference. See the Cookie Policy.

Why we use it

  • To provide the features you or your server enable (contract / legitimate interest)
  • To keep services safe and reliable, including abuse prevention and debugging
  • To understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve them

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising profiling.

How long we keep it

Game-session data is short-lived and is deleted shortly after a match ends. Progression and server configuration are kept while the bot is in your server and for a limited grace period after it is removed. Moderation logs follow the retention your server needs, subject to a maximum period. Error logs are rotated on a short schedule.

Sharing and processors

We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, database, content delivery) that process data on our behalf under contract. Discord is the platform the bot and the Activity run on; your use of Discord is also governed by Discord's own policies. We disclose data if legally required.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us through the support channel listed on the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity via Discord.

Age

SHAKKY is not directed to children under the minimum age required to use Discord in your country. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the products evolve. Material changes will be announced on the community server and the date above will be updated.
