Terms of Service

This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before SHAKKY's public launch.

These terms apply when you use SHAKKY products: Shakky Bot, Shakky Arcade and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you use SHAKKY on behalf of a Discord server, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for that server.

The service

SHAKKY is provided as-is and is under active development. Features may change, be added or be removed. Anything labelled “coming soon” is not a commitment to a date. We aim for good uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using SHAKKY
  • Abuse, harass or harm other players, or use SHAKKY to do so
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service
  • Exploit bugs for unfair advantage instead of reporting them
  • Resell or commercially exploit SHAKKY without written permission

Our Community Guidelines add detail on expected behaviour and apply alongside these terms.

Content you create

You keep ownership of the drawings, text and other content you create in the Arcade. You grant SHAKKY a limited licence to store and display that content as needed to run the game for the other players in your session. You are responsible for what you submit.

Intellectual property

The SHAKKY name, logo, artwork, chibi characters and game designs belong to SHAKKY. Our card and board games are original works built from scratch; we do not use third-party brands or assets. You may not use our branding without permission, except for ordinary references to the service.

Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or end your access to SHAKKY if you break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. You can stop using SHAKKY at any time and remove the bot from your server.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, SHAKKY is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SHAKKY evolves. If we make material changes, we will announce them on the community server and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
